• Thomas He was a gentleman-usher to King Henry VIII in 1519, and at the Field of the Cloth of Gold in 1520

• He was was executed for his support of Lady Jane Grey in the succession crisis of 1553.

• When it came he came to his turn on the scaffold, covered with the blood of those who had just been beheaded, he made a speech in which he said that he died a Protestant.

• After Jane's fathers role in the Wyatt Rebellion, Jane was considered to big a threat to the crown of England and was executed.

 

• 12TH FEBRUARY LORD GUILDFORD DUDLEY WAS EXECUTED FOR HIGH TREASONABLE

• Guildford was the husband of the Lady Jane Grey (Nine Day Queen)

• John Dudley who had been Lord President of the Council and executed in August 1553 was Guild ford's father,

• After Guildford and his wife's trial in November 1553, they were condemned to death for high treason Queen Mary I was inclined to spare their lives, but Thomas Wyatt's rebellion against Mary's plans to marry Philip of Spain led to the young couple's execution.

• Thomas also , participated in the Ridolfi plot with King Philip II of Spain to put Mary on the English throne and restore Catholicism in England that which led to his execution.

• Thomas trial started on March 22nd 1641. Wentworth defended himself with skill and he was found not guilty of treason.
