  • MARCH: The Spanish ambassador at the English court, Roderigo de Puebla, was instructed to offer Henry a deal. The proposed treaty included the agreement that Henry's eldest son, Arthur, should marry Catherine of Aragon in return for an undertaking by Henry to declare war on France. Henry enthusiastically "showed off his nineteen-month-old son, first dressed in cloth of gold and then stripped naked, so they could see he had no deformity."

  • The Treaty of Medina del Campo was signed. The Treaty of Medina del Campo was an agreement between England and the nascent Spain. Its provisions accomplished three goals: the establishment of a common policy for the two countries regarding France, the reduction of tariffs between the two countries, and, most centrally, the arrangement of a marriage contract between Arthur Tudor, eldest son of Henry VII of England, and Catherine of Aragon.

  • Elizabeth Plantagenet was Queen consort to Henry VII of England for seventeen years.
 
  • Elizabeth was from the royal House of York.
 
  • Two of Elizabeth’s brothers were the Princes that went missing in the Tower of London, in the summer of 1483.
 
  • The children's nursery rhyme "Sing a Song of Sixpence" is said to be about Elizabeth of York. While her husband is the king in the same thyme who was counting out his money
 
  • Elizabeth of York's Motto was “Humble and Reverent”.
 
  • The Lady Catherine Gordon, who was the wife of Perkin Warbeck, (Yorkist pretender) became one of Elizabeth’s Favorite lady in waiting. Lady Catherine was the "Chief Mourner" at the funeral of Elizabeth in February 1503.
 
  • Elizabeth was Known for beauty, inheriting her parents' fair complexion. All other Tudor monarchs inherited her reddish gold hair and the trait became synonymous with the dynasty.
 
  • It was rumoured that Richard the III England had intended to marry Elizabeth when his wife was close to the grave and even once said in a letter that had been uncovered, revealing how Elizabeth submitted herself to him. However, there is no strong evidence of this.
