    WALERAN DE BEAUMONT

• LIFE TIME 1153 – 12th December 1204

• Waleran was the fourth Earl of Warwick and was the younger son of Roger de Beaumont, 2nd Earl of Warwick

• After his brother's death an impostor arose, claiming to be the deceased Earl; he gave Waleran a great deal of trouble in maintaining his claim. Waleran bore the right hand Sword of State at the Coronation of King John, of England ;and 27th May 1199.

• He married Ela Longespee, the granddaughter of henry II of England. At the coronation of Eleanor of Provence, the Queen Consort of Henry III, on the 26 June 1236 he bore the third Sword of State

• Margaret was the seventh Countess of Warwick in her own right. She was the sister and heiress of Thomas de Beaumont, 6th Earl of Warwick

     JOHN DU PLESSIS

• LIFE TIME DIED 26th February. 1263

• John was the 7th Earl of Warwick 1245–1253 and the husband of Margaret De Newburg. John had been constable of the Tower of London.

   

 

1263–1268

    WILLIAM MAUDUIT

• LIFE TIME 1220 – 8th January 1267

• William was the 8th Earl of Warwick (1253–1267) and the grandson of Waleran de Beaumont, 4th Earl of Warwick. His half-cousin, Margaret de Beaumont, 7th Countess of Warwick died without an heir. During his time as Earl, there was a surprise attack on Warwick Castle, his residence, by the forces of Simon de Montfort, 6th Earl of Leicester from Kenilworth Castle, led by John Giffard. William and his wife were then taken as prisoners to Kenilworth Castle, and were held there until the payment of a ransom of nineteen hundred marks was given.

• William was the 9th Earl of Warwick, (1267–1298 ) his mother Isabel Mauduit, sister and heiress of William Mauduit, 8th Earl of Warwick He was a close friend of King Edward I of England, and was an important leader in Edward's invasion of Wales in 1277

• LIFE TIME 1272 – 12th August 1315

• Guy was the 10th Earl of Warwick and son and heir of William de Beauchamp, 9th Earl of Warwick,. He one of the principal opponents of King Edward II and his favourite, Piers Gaveston. King Edward I of England had knighted Guy de Beauchamp at Easter 1296 and in 1299, he was present at the king's wedding to Margaret of France at Canterbury,

• It was Guy who forcibly carried away Piers Gaveston to Warwick Castle] Here, in the presence of Guy, Duke Lancaster and other magnates, Gaveston was sentenced to death at an improvised court. On the 19th June he was taken to a place called Blacklow Hill – on Lancaster's lands– and decapitated.

• Thomas was the 11th Earl of Warwick (1329–1369  and Guy de Beauchamp, 10th Earl of Warwick. Thomas fought in the Hundred Years of War with France for King Edward III of England.

• Richard was the Thirteen Earl of Warwick and the son of Thomas de Beauchamp, 12th Earl of Warwick.King Richard II of England was his Godfather . He was knighted at the coronation of King Henry IV .He had been appointed Master of the Horse.

     HENRY BEAUCHAMP

• LIFE TIME 21st March 1425 – 11th June 1446

• Henry was the 14th Earl and 1st Duke of Warwick (1439–1446 )and the son of Richard Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick, and Isabel le Despenser. . Henry married Cecily Neville, who was a great-great granddaughter of Edward III of England through the John of Gaunt line. Henry had been a boy-hood friend o0f King Henry IV of England, which placed him in high favour with the King.He is said to have been crowned King of the Isle of Wight in 1444

    ANNE BEAUCHAMP

• Anne was the 15th Countess of Warwick (1445–1449 ) and the only child of Henry de Beauchamp, 1st Duke of Warwick and Lady Cecily Neville. Her mother was a first cousin of Edward IV of England, Edmund, Earl of Rutland, Margaret of York, George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence and Richard III of England

    ANNE BEAUCHAMP

• LIFE TIME 13th July 1426 – 20th September 1492

• Anne was the 16th Countess of Warwick and the daughter of Richard Beauchamp, 13th Earl of Warwick , ahe was the aunt of Anne the 15th Countess of Warwick. Anne contested the right to have the earldom by her three older half-sisters, children of her father's first marriage .

• Anne was the wife of Richard Neville,and the mother of Isabel Neville and Anne Neville the future Queen consort of King Richard III of England. When Richard her husband died and fell form grace, all her titles and lands were confiscated

1449–1471

     RICHARD NEVILLE

• TIME-LINE 2nd November 1428 – 14thril 1471

• Richard was the 16th Earl of Warwick 1449–1471 and the husband of Arne Beauchamp. He was known as Warwick the Kingmaker, was an English nobleman and a key figure in the Wares of The Rose. Richard  was the father of Isabel Neville and Anne Neville the future Queen consort of King Richard III of England. He was also first cousin to King Edward IV and the future Richard III of England.

• Richard had also been Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports 1460–1471 and Lord High Admiral1470–1471 .

• In 1469, Richard imprisoned King Edward IV in Warwick castle however was forced to release him. Richard was slain at The battle of Barnet on the 14th April 1471.

1472–1478

    GEORGE PLANTAGENET

• LIFE TIME (21st October 1449– 18th February 1478

• George was the Earl of Warwick. He was the brother to King Edward IV and the future Richard III. George was married to Isabell Neville the daughter of Richard Neville and Anne Beauchamp the 16th Countess of Warwick. He was also father to Edward Plantagenet 17th Earl of Warwick and Margaret Pole, one of the last of the direct line of of Plantagenet.

• On the 18th February 1478, George was executed , rumoured to been drowned in a butt of wine for high treason against his brother, King Edward IV

1478–1499

    EDWARD PLANTAGENET

• LIFE TIME 25th February 1475– 28th November 1499

• Edward was the 17th earl of Warwick and also the son of George Plantagenet and Isabell neville and a grandson of Richard Neville the 16th earl of Warwick. When his parents died he was made a ward of King Edward IV stepson, Thomas Grey, 1st Marquess of Dorset.

• When Henry Tudor won at The Battle of Bosworth field and became King of England, Edward was placed in the Tower of London at the age of ten year old.. Edward was a threat to the crown and was under close supervision. He was executed on 28th November 1499 for his role in the attempt escape of Perkin Warbexk the Yorkist pretender.

• John was the 2nd Earl of Warwick 1553 and the son of John Dudley, 1st Duke of Northumberland and the brother of Robert Dudley and Guildford Dudley

• John had also been Lord Lieutenant of Warwickshire1552–1553 and Master of the Horse 1552–1553

• John died shortley after leaving his imprisonment in the Tower of London in 1553.

• Fulke Greville, was the 1st Baron Brooke, 13th Baron Latimer and 5th Baron Willoughby de Broke

• He had also been an Elizabethan poet, dramatist, and statesman who had sat in the House of Commons. He was granted Warwick Castle in 1604 and spent £20,000 to restore it

• Fulke had also been Chancellor of the Exchequer 1614–1621 and Treasurer of the Navy 1598–1604 and Custos Rotulorum of Warwickshire 1626–1628

1628–1643

     ROBERT GREVILLE

• LIFE TIME May 1607 – 2nd March 1643

• Robert was the 2nd Baron Brooke and the cousin and adopted son of Fulke Grenville.

• He had entered parliament for Warwick in 1628and later been a English Civil War Roundhead General.. Robert Greville was reportedly shot by a sniper (a concealed person who fired at Greville with a rifle) and many consider him to be the first recorded victim of sniper fire
