The historical drama Wolf hall was filmed in the May 2014 and broadcasted by the BBC in January 2015. The six episodes series was an adaption of Hillary Mantels novels, Wolf Hall , which was a book she published in 2009 and Bring Up the Bodies, another one of her books which was published in 2012 . The series is a fictionalized biography documenting the rapid rise to power of Thomas Cromwell in the court of Henry VIII through to the death of Sir Thomas More, followed by Cromwell's success in freeing the king of his marriage to Anne Boleyn.
On the 23rd August in 2012, BBC Two announced several new commissions, one of which was Wolf Hall. According to The Guardian newspaper, seven million pound was to be spent on the adaptation. The series features one hundred and two characters in its cast, All episodes were written by Peter Straughan, and directed by Peter Kosminsky. The soundtrack to the show was called Wolf Hall and by Debbie Wiseman .
