The Tudors is a historical fictional drama, that primary focuses on the reign of  King Henry the VIII of England  from around 1520’s till close to his death in  1547. The drama was created and written by Michael Hirst, and was produced by Peace Arch Entertainment for Showtime

The show consisted of thirty-eight episodes broken down into four seasons and ran from the 1st April 2007 till 20th June 2010. Even though there were many historical inaccuracies the show was big success. The majority of the filming for the show was done in Ireland.
