When the English settlers journeyed  to the New World, it was supposed to be a doorway to making their dreams real. For some this new life was a belief  they would have religious freedom, and to others it was believing the New World was a place of the hidden treasure. For the majority of early settlers, it the place of where they would meet an early death, as the life they expected, was not what they found. Many were not equipped with what was to come, from surviving their first winter, to coping with ill health, this new life they came for was going to take allot  of work and time.
