The Devils Whore”, is a four part mini-series produced by Company Pictures for Channel 4 in 2008. The series was set around the period of the English Civil war and tells the tale of Angelica Fanshawe and the historical Leveller soldier Edward Sexby. It spans over the years 1638 to 1660. Leading up to the execution of King Charles the 1st of England and the rise of Oliver Cromwell.The series was filmed in Oak Valley, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa and the show was first aired on  9th November 2008 on Channel four, lasting a total running time of 215 minutes.

The Devil’s Whore  won in the Best Drama Series category at the 35th Broadcasting Press Guild Television and Radio Awards (2009).
