The film “Shakespeare In Love” is a romantic comedy, made in 1998. The film depicts an imaginary love affair involving Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow) and playwright William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) while he was writing Romeo and Juliet, set in the year 1593. Many of the characters in the film are historical figures. The film was written by Marc Norman and playwright Tom Stoppard, directed by John Madden. The film ran for one hundred and twenty-three minutes and was released in the UK on the 29th January 1999.
Shakespeare in Love won seven Academy Award. Best Picture, Best Actress (Gwyneth Paltrow), Best Supporting Actress (Judi Dench) Best Original Screenplay and Best Art Design. Best Cinematography
