  • Humphrey Stafford , was the 1st Duke of Buckingham, 6th Earl of Stafford and was a military commander in the “Hundred Years of War”, with France as well as in the “Wars of the Roses”
 
  • Humphrey was a great grandson of Edward III England, on his mother’s side. Anne his mother was the daughter of Thomas of Woodstock, 1st Duke of Gloucester His mother’s first husband had been his father’s brother Thomas.
 
 
  • Henry. Humphreys second oldest son, was the step father to the future Henry VII of England. Henry was Margaret Beaufort’s third Husband.
 
  • Anne Neville, Humphreys wife was sister to Cecily Neville, making Anne aunt to two future Kings Edward IV and Richard III of England. Anne was also a granddaughter of John of Gaunt, a great granddaughter of Edward III England.
