THE HOLLOW CROWN
The Hollow Crown, was a British TV adaption of the William Shakespeare historical plays. Beginning in 2012 with Richard II till Henry V. Then in 2016 beginning with Henry VI and ending with Richard III
The Hollow Crown was premiered on BBC 2. Dan Jones composed the original soundtrack for The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses The BBC scheduled the screening of Shakespeare's history plays as part of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad, a celebration of British culture coinciding with the 2012 Summer Olympics

Filming Locations were in Alnwick Castle, Alnwick, Northumberland, England, UK and in Squerryes Court in Westerham in Kent, which was used for the the Battle of Agincourt in the 2012 TV film Henry V.

A Region 2 DVD set of the four films was released on the 1st October 2012 . A 2-disc DVD set of The Wars of the Roses was released on 20th June
​
The original music soundtrack from The Hollow Crown: The Wars of the Roses was composed by Dan Jones was released on the Wave Theory Records label in June 2016 and performed by the BBC National Orchestra
